3. Presentation:
1) Today we will learn M5 U1. Look at this picture, can you describe this picture?
e.g. Daming is playing the trumpet.
The dog is dancing.
(show the picture on P18, have the Ss describe the picture, learn “trumpet” first)
2) Let’s watch the video and answer this question, “Who is having a birthday party?”(Present the question on the screen) have the Ss watch the video and answer the question.
【Help the Ss understand the dialog as a whole one.】
2)Watch the first part and judge these sentences.
a. Only Daming’s family is at Daming’s birthday party.
b. Daming is playing his trumpet, but then the telephone rings.
3)Watch the third part and order these sentences.
a. But then more friends arrive.
b. He is playing his favourite song and everyone is listening and clapping.
c. Daming tries again.
d. Everyone says hello to them.
